It’s Your Big Day. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

When planning a wedding, most couples will worry over the wedding reception more than any other aspect of the day’s events. As long as the groom arrives at the church or registry office on time and sober, then everything should go smoothly. The wedding ceremony itself is run of the mill, lead by the vicar or registrar and little can go astray. Unless of course somebody objects to the marriage when given the opportunity. Hopefully the caterers will do their job and serve a satisfactory meal, and even if any of your guests do suffer from food poisoning, the affects won’t be apparent until the next day, when you and your hubby will on honeymoon and out of the way.

The only part of a wedding ceremony could really go wrong is at the reception or ‘night-do’. All your guests have been on their best behaviour all day long and having been fully fed and watered, it’s time to let their hair down. Now you may have booked a DJ or a wedding band to provide the music but are they any good? Out of all the wedding singers or wedding bands you could have chosen, you wont know if you’ve chosen one of the good ones until they start performing.

Even if the entertainment is up to scratch, you’ve still got the guests to worry about and the problem with weddings is people tend to drink, and drink. Old family feuds may come to the surface. The groomsmen might have a fight over the maid of honour. And heaven forbid if two guests arrive wearing the same frock!  Anything can go wrong at this stage, which is probably why most newly weds make a sharp exit for their honeymoon sooner rather than later.
